Korou October Session: A Day of Learning and Financial Empowerment.
On 25 October 2025, Korou Foundation hosted its second financial literacy workshop in collaboration with HER Soft Skills Training Institute at Dewlahland, Imphal. The session brought together current and ex-candidates of HER for a focused and meaningful conversation around financial independence and wellbeing.
The workshop covered essential topics including the importance of financial independence, building a personal safety net, smart budgeting, investment basics, and an introduction to mutual funds and other financial options. Participants also explored practical tools and resources designed to support informed financial decision-making in everyday life.
We are deeply grateful to HER Training Institute and especially Ranjita Khangembam, Director of HER, for their leadership and collaboration in making this session possible. Most of all, we thank everyone who joined us and contributed their curiosity, openness, and energy to the space.
The Korou October Session reaffirmed our belief that financial literacy grows stronger through community learning—one conversation at a time. More sessions are on the way as we continue working towards a more financially confident and empowered community.
